Are you interested in strengthening your public speaking and professional skills? Then we have the opportunity for you: Toastmasters International! We are still looking for people to join us so we are able to start a Toastmasters club on campus. Good communication skills are on top of the list of any employer, and this is a great place to start.
What is Toastmasters?
-Very simply, Toastmasters is a speech and leadership club.
When do we meet?
-The LCU Toastmasters club will meet every Wednesday 9:50-10:40.
What do the meetings look like?
-We have different roles that members fill, but each week we switch roles so that everyone experiences each role, thereby developing and strengthening a variety of professional skills.
What does it cost?
– There is a one time fee for beginning manuals = $20
– There is a membership fee of $6/month. This fee is collected twice a year, so $36/6months, which brings the initial 6 month total to $56 ($20 for manuals + $36 six month membership fee).
Who can join?
This club is open to everyone associated with LCU! It is NOT focused only on students! Faculty, staff, and alums are more than welcome to join!
